The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation hosted the third annual Cypress Hoops Invitational tournament, December 6, 7 & 8.  The tournament  had twenty four teams including the ten CFISD boy's varsity teams and fourteen out of district teams. The Cy-Fair Hoops Invitational is the new, expanded, and updated version of the district's age old varsity boys CFISD basketball tournament. South Grand Prairie High School came in first place and our own Langham Creek High School came in second place. The Foundation's goal was to engage the entire community in order to promote basketball, generate community spirit, and raise funds for the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation; Profits from the tournament provide college scholarships for district students as well as staff development grants to CFISD.  For more information about ways to participate next year, contact Marie Holmes at 281-807-3591 or marie@thecfef.org.
