Testimonials
Making dreams come true for students.
The foundation supported me on my journey to attending college by alleviating some of the financial stress in these difficult times. They allowed me to make my admission decision more on my personal goals and what was right for me, rather than what was easier or less of a risk in an already uncertain future.
The CFEF has helped me greatly because I thought it would have been impossible for me to obtain more money for me to attend my university. Thanks to CFEF’s help, I am able to attend my university, Sam Houston State University today as a sophomore and achieve my goal of becoming a teacher.
This organization offered me a scholarship that enabled me to attend a 4-year university. Through this, I have been able to find incredible success in the academic environment, because I was better able to focus on school instead of finances. Furthermore, I am in the process of applying to medical school. None of this would have been available without CFEF.
Receiving a scholarship from the CFEF has opened many pathways for me and has enabled me to get into college worry free. Working with the CFEF has been very enlightening because the foundation sincerely cares for the students and are truly determined to help students from different backgrounds succeed. The dedication that the members of the foundation put into helping students thrive is outstanding and for that I am sincerely thankful.
CFEF has given me a huge and life-changing gift...a gift to go to college. CFEF award, helped me, coming from a low-income, first-generation student, to attend college. They changed my life, I don't have to worry about expenses and my focus is completely on making the best grades possible. Thank you so so much!
I am so grateful for the generosity of this organization. By awarding me the CFEF Scholarship In Memory of Rona Martin Abshire, my financial burden was lightened which allowed me to focus more on the most important aspect of school- learning. Their generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community. I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as they helped me.
