On October 17, 2019, the Foundation will host the next Salute to the Stars. For the past 21 years, this event has recognized CFISD teacher of the year honorees. It all began in 1998 with former superintendent, Richard Berry’s vision. His idea was to spotlight the school district’s brightest teachers while simultaneously raising money for the Foundation. Today, Salute to the Stars is one of our major fundraising events of the year. Each campus principal chooses a Teacher of the Year for their outstanding dedication in providing valuable instruction to students. October 18th marks the date of Salute to the Stars. One of our major fundraising events of the year, this special evening recognizes CFISD Teacher of the Year honorees. Since its inception, Salute to the Stars has raised more than $3 million. The underwriter of the event is Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union. Salute to Our Heroes is our newest event that honors the brave men and women who serve our country. Funds raised from this special evening go to an endowment that enables CFISD students to pursue higher education. This year, Salute to Our Heroes will be taking place on February 11th, 2017 at the Omni Houston Hotel at Westside. Advertising during the event is a great opportunity to support our youth and to bring some publicity to your organization. We will describe the options that are available in our souvenir program book.

The program is something people hold on to as a memento of their experience. This means your ad will be viewed for years as people go back to the program over time. The program is a high-quality, full-size publication which includes speaker bio, sponsor thank you’s, the program schedule, as well a bio on the year’s Jeremy Ray Community Service and Peace Award recipient. Salute to Our Heroes will be taking place on February 11th, 2017 at the Omni Houston Hotel at Westside. This event honors the brave men and women who have served in the armed forces to protect our freedom and liberty. Proceeds from Salute to Our Heroes fund scholarship endowments for graduating seniors from CFISD to attend college. If you’re interested in becoming a sponsor, it’s not too late! Salute to Our Heroes will feature an inspirational speaker, dinner, entertainment, as well as a live and silent auction. Our keynote speaker at this year’s event will be Kris Paronto. As you can see, increase your sponsorship level and you get more VIP passes! The Valor Sponsor is a great option for couples to have the opportunity to attend the VIP Reception for a photo opportunity with our guest speaker. One VIP pass is valid for two guests.
