As the New Year approaches, we ask you to please remember the opportunity to make an end of year charitable gift to CFEF. Your gifts are invaluable in providing graduating seniors of CFISD an opportunity to pursue higher education. Over the past 44 years, greater than $6 million has been awarded to over 1,300 graduating seniors and almost $2 million in staff development grants. Your donation is eligible as a charitable tax deduction as allowed by law if payment is made on or before December 31, 2015. Only a few days away!
You may also consider establishing an endowed scholarship. The structure of endowed funds differs from other types of gifts. Instead of the entire amount of the gift being spent outright, the total amount of the gift is invested. This makes an endowment a perpetual gift because only the interest is used to support the Foundation while the principal continuously grows.
