Now that Salute to the Stars has come and gone, our attention turns to our next major fundraising event of the year: The Houston Methodist Cy-Hoops Invitational. This week’s blog will provide you with some information about the upcoming event and the teams participating.
2016’s Houston Methodist Cy-Hoops Invitational will take place December 8th through December 10th at several locations including the Berry Center, Cy Ranch High School, Cy Springs High School, and Cy Lakes High School. Tournament passes for the entirety of the three-day tournament are $8. Individual passes are $3 for adults and $2 for students. Students wearing their team/school shirt or jersey will get in free. We have several surprises in store including halftime giveaways at the Berry Center on Saturday.
Drama and excitement is on the way as Beaumont Ozen is returning to defend its title for the third year in a row. Many teams will be scrapping for the crown with a host of strong competitors participating in the tourney. According to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches 2016-2017 Preseason Rankings, Austin Westlake is ranked first for Boys-Class 6A. Beaumont Ozen is ranked fifth for Boys-Class 5A.
