The holidays are right around the corner. Whether it’s cozying up near the fireplace with some apple cider in hand, putting up lights and decorations, or spending time with loved ones—it’s a truly magical time of year. Before you take a break from work, we would like to give everyone a heartfelt THANK YOU for your donations and support of our Foundation. We are fortunate to have loyal donors like you.
As 2019 approaches, we hope you will consider the opportunity to make an end of year charitable gift to our Foundation. Your gifts are priceless in providing graduating seniors of CFISD an opportunity to pursue higher education. Over the past 40+ years, greater than $8 million has been awarded to over 2,000 graduating seniors and almost $3.5 million in staff development grants. Your donation is eligible as a charitable tax deduction as allowed by law if payment is made on or before December 31, 2018. Only a few short weeks away!
An endowed scholarship is another option. The way these scholarships are set up differs from other types of gifts. Instead of the entire amount of the gift being spent outright, the total amount of the gift is invested. This makes an endowment a perpetual gift because only the interest is used to support our Foundation while the principal continues to grow.
